Megha Schmalzle is a third year medical student at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) and is currently pursuing her Masters in Academic Medicine. She is working in collaboration with Good Samaritan University Hospital, focusing on research in translational oncology and radiotherapy outcomes in patients with oligometastatic cancer. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in medical education, teaching anatomy and clinical skills to pre-clinical medical students. Her long-term goal is to apply clinical research discoveries in clinical settings to optimize patient-centered care.
