Dr. Miranda Lam is a radiation oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Her clinical practice focuses on the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas and gastrointestinal malignancies. In addition to her clinical work and clinical interests, Dr. Lam leads a research program in health services and policy, with interest in understanding the factors the influence the cost and quality of cancer care. She is currently the principal investigator or co-investigator on several grants, including federally funded NIH research.


Dr. Lam received her undergraduate degree from Amherst College and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in radiation oncology in the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program, where she also served as Chief Resident. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to education and mentorship, including the Harvard Medical School Young Mentor Award and the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) Teaching Award. Dr. Lam has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as JAMA Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics.
