Dr. Munir is an ECFMG-certified physician and postdoctoral research fellow in Radiation/Oncology at Miami Cancer Institute, where she works in Dr. Minesh Mehta’s laboratory. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, she has developed a strong academic foundation in oncologic research through mentorship from leading physicians at Miami Cancer Institute and the Cleveland Clinic. Her research interests include radiation oncology outcomes, cancer health disparities, treatment-related toxicities, real-world evidence, survivorship, and novel therapeutic strategies across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Dr. Munir’s scholarly work focuses on improving cancer outcomes through population-level analyses, retrospective clinical studies, systematic reviews, and translational research. She is particularly interested in understanding how patient-, disease-, and treatment-related factors influence survival, toxicity, and access to care. Her academic productivity and commitment to research have been recognized nationally, including receipt of a Young Investigator Award at the Society of Hematologic Oncology. She is currently applying for Radiation/Oncology residency through this year’s Match cycle and aspires to pursue a career as a physician-scientist focused on improving outcomes for patients with cancer.
