Nadia N. Laack, M.D., is the Hitachi Professor in Radiation Oncology Research and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is also the Enterprise Co-Deputy Director for Cancer Practice, Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research focuses on improving outcomes and reducing toxicity through advanced imaging and radiation techniques for pediatric sarcomas and pediatric and adult brain tumors. She has led multiple institutional and national clinical trials in brain tumors and Ewing and Osteosarcoma through the Children’s Oncology Group. Her work has been published in over 200 scientific articles and over a dozen book chapters and has been supported by the National Cancer Institute, Brains Together for a Cure, and National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Dr. Laack has received many honors and awards, including the Excellence in Teaching Award at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and Teacher of the Year for Radiation Oncology, conferred by Mayo Fellows Association.
