Nicholas G Zaorsky, MD, MS is a radiation oncologist at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. Dr Zaorsky is a board-certified, independently-funded, clinical investigator, with international expertise in the management of genitourinary cancers, skin cancer, and metastases. Dr Zaorsky attended Temple University School of Medicine for his medical training, completed a clinical research fellowship in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University, and completed his residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, in Philadelphia. Throughout his career, he has authored more than 10 national and international guidelines for clinical management of patients with cancer, enrolled 100s of patients on clinical trials, published 100s of peer-reviewed articles, created 100s of medical illustrations, and helped train over 1000 physicians and scientists. He developed a large clinical research group with over $1.5M of funding from the American Cancer Society, Department of Defense, and National Institutes of Health. He has won several awards, including being one of the “Best Doctors” from Cleveland Magazine, an “Outstanding Mentor Award” from the students at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, “Most Cited” and “Most Published” physician from Doximity/US News and World, and the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at Penn State University.
