Nikhil Chakravarty, MPH, is a medical student at the California University of Science and Medicine (Colton, CA) and a Clinical Research Associate at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA). He holds an MPH in Epidemiology from UCLA and a BS in Microbiology and Immunology from UC Irvine. Mr. Chakravarty has conducted cancer epidemiology and outcomes research across multiple institutions, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USC, UCLA, The Mount Sinai Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a 2022 recipient of the NCI-funded Cancer Epidemiology Education in Special Populations (CEESP) fellowship and has presented at national venues, including the Military Health System Research Symposium and the Southern California ACS annual meeting, where he received third place in the Commission on Cancer award for research on determinants of pancreatic mucinous neoplasm progression to malignancy. His research encompasses cancer epidemiology, virology, and cardio-oncology outcomes across multiple disease sites. He has a broad interest in radiation oncology outcomes research at the intersection of oncologic treatment and long-term cardiovascular morbidity. He is also active in health policy advocacy through the American Medical Association Medical Student Section.
