Nobuteru Kubo, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Gunma University Heavy Ion Medical Center, Gunma University, Japan. He is a board-certified radiation oncologist certified by the Japanese Society for Radiation Oncology (JASTRO). His clinical and research work focuses on particle beam therapy, particularly carbon-ion radiotherapy. His research interests include the application of carbon-ion radiotherapy for lung cancer and other malignancies, as well as the development of advanced radiation therapy strategies. He has been involved in multicenter clinical research and nationwide registry studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of particle beam therapy, particularly for patients with lung cancer. His research also focuses on improving treatment outcomes and optimizing patient selection for particle beam therapy. Dr. Kubo is actively involved in clinical practice, research, and education in radiation oncology and contributes to collaborative research on particle beam therapy in Japan.
