Olena V. Yermilova, MD, is Head of the Department of Radiation Therapy at the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital" in Kyiv, Ukraine. She completed her medical degree at Bogomolets National Medical University and subsequently trained in diagnostic radiology and radiation oncology. Her clinical practice includes image-guided radiotherapy, functional radiation therapy, and the management of malignant and selected non-malignant diseases. Her current research focuses on the clinical application of low-dose radiotherapy for refractory chronic post-traumatic osteomyelitis and other chronic inflammatory conditions. This work is driven by the clinical challenges encountered at a national military clinical center treating patients with combat-related injuries, where new treatment strategies for refractory chronic osteomyelitis are urgently needed.
