Peter J. Rossi, MD, FABS, FASTRO, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Calaway • Young Cancer Center, Valley View Hospital, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He earned his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997, completed his internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and his residency (Chief Resident) at Wake Forest University. He served overseas as a Navy medical officer before joining Emory University School of Medicine, where he was Associate Professor and Medical Director of Oncology at Winship Cancer Institute, Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, and held the James Cox Kennedy Endowed Chair in Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Rossi's research focuses on MRI-directed brachytherapy, PSMA PET-guided targeting, stereotactic radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiotherapy, with emphasis on quality-of-life outcomes in prostate cancer treatment. He has authored or co-authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications and contributes to national ABS/ASTRO consensus statements and practice guidelines.
A Fellow of both the American Brachytherapy Society (FABS) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (FASTRO), Dr. Rossi served as ABS President (2022–2023) and Executive Board Member (2020–2026). He has taught and lectured on advanced radiation and brachytherapy techniques around the world.
