My research interest involves clinical trials and transdisciplinary radiation medicine research. Clinically, I conduct early phase clinical trials that seek to examine novel radiation technologies and their combination with molecular agents to improve patient survival and quality of life. My clinical interest is in sarcoma, skin cancers, spine SBRT and radiation late effects.

At the lab, we explore molecular and engineering methods to personalize cancer treatments by 1) developing low-cost lab-on-a-chip systems to empirically screen biopsy samples for drug and radiation response ex vivo and 2) novel methods to combine cold atmospheric plasma with radiotherapy.
