Salma Amin, MPH, is a fourth-year medical student at Meharry Medical College and an ASTRO Medical Student Fellow. Her current research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center examines acute toxicity following CT-planned interstitial HDR brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies. Her broader research interests include disparities in access to radiotherapy and cancer treatment among underserved populations, both locally and globally. She is particularly interested in treating gynecologic malignancies and plans to pursue a career in radiation oncology that combines clinical care, research, and health equity.
