Sarah B. Gitto, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylavia in the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an Associate Member of the Abramson Cancer Center. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences for the University of Central Florida in 2017 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania. her research focuses on developing innovative immunotherapy and molecularly targeted treatment strategies for ovarian cancer, with particular interest in adoptive cellular therapies, immune checkpoints bloackade, and targeted radiopharmacuticles approaches. Dr. Gitto also leads translational efforts investigating PARP-targeted imaging and alpha-particle therapies to improve outcomes for patients with treatment-resistant gynecologic malignancies. She has recieved multiple competitive research awards, including the Ovarain Cancer Research Alliance Early Career Scientist Grant and the Schriber Research Prize for Outstanding Mentored Investigators.
