Dr. Scott A. Roof is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research within the department, where he leads initiatives aimed at advancing therapeutic strategies for head and neck cancers. Dr. Roof completed his residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His research interests include circulating tumor DNA in the management of Head and Neck Cancer, understanding the role of immunotherapy in modifying the tumor-immune microenvironment and oncologic response, and functional outcomes research.
