Sean Maroongroge, MD, MBA is a Radiation Oncologist and Assistant Clinical Professor at City of Hope National Medical Center in Southern California. In his clinical practice, he focuses primarily on head and neck, skin, and genitourinary cancers, as well as functional radiation medicine (non-oncologic disease). He serves on the ASTRO Health Policy Committee as a member of the Payer Relations Committee and on the Functional Radiation Medicine Committee. His research interests include health services research and the intersection of non-clinical factors that influence cancer treatment delivery, improving patient outcomes with the use of adaptive radiation therapy, and the use of biomarkers to personalize radiation treatments. Prior to joining the faculty at City of Hope, he received his MD and MBA at Yale University and completed his residency training at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
