Serguei Castaneda, MD
Dr. Serguei Castaneda is a board-certified radiation oncologist at CB Oncology Partners, specializing in treating both solid and liquid malignancies, as well as select benign disorders, with advanced radiotherapy technologies. Before joining CB Oncology Partners, he served as a radiation oncologist at Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health South Florida, where he used his expertise in brain, spine, thoracic, breast, and hematological cancers, among others.
Dr. Castaneda received his medical degree from Universidad de Antioquia School of Medicine in Medellin, Colombia, followed by post-doctoral research at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and radiation oncology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
His clinical work focuses on general radiation oncology and advanced radiotherapy techniques with technologies such as Zap-X, GammaKnife, and Proton Therapy. His current research work focuses on global healh and theranostics for prostate cancer. Dr. Castaneda has published over 50 scientific papers, lectured internationally, and held teaching roles at multiple academic institutions. He has received 20 honors and awards and served in more than 20 leadership roles across academic and community settings.
