EC 02 - Navigating Parenthood in Early Career: A Panel Discussion
MODERATOR(S)
James Bates, MD - Emory University
session DESCRIPTION
Join us in the Early Career Lounge for a panel discussion. Among the primary challenges that early career radiation oncologists face is balancing the workload of the profession with the importance of family. Adding to this is that many early career physicians face decisions regarding family planning or are moving to a new location with newborns and/or young children. This meaningfully adds to the complexity of work-life balance. In this panel, we will present strategies to navigate this from four diverse early career radiation oncologists to help other early career (and those about to enter the early career) navigate these challenges.
