MODERATOR(S)
Dianne Ferguson, PhD, DABR - Brigham and Womens Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute
Brian Winey, PhD - Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School
session DESCRIPTION
To improve the precision and appropriate use of proton therapy, there are three ongoing developments: randomized clinical trials, MR guided proton therapy and upright proton therapy. This session will explore the clinical developments increasing the precision of proton therapy to both expand the use of proton therapy and improve the clinical appropriate use of proton therapy.
learning objectives
- Understand the current limitations of proton therapy and the current technology developments addressing the limitations.
- Understand the current state of scientific development, both technology and clinical trials.
