session DESCRIPTION
This session will focus on optimizing and advancing radiopharmaceutical (RPT) programs within community radiation oncology practices. The target audience will be community practices contemplating starting an RPT program as well as existing programs wishing to strengthen their programs. We will be focused on the RPTs utilized in GU oncology. The session will address patient selection, as well as how to address additional modalities utilized in RPTs: external beam radiation, imaging and RPT dosimetry. Educating attendees on patient selection is particularly relevant given the rapidly evolving role RPTs have within GU oncology. Additionally, there is great heterogeneity and uncertainty in how additional modalities can be incorporated into RPT delivery. We will therefore address how external beam radiation, imaging and RPT dosimetry can be incorporated to optimize RPT delivery.
learning objectives
- Appropriately select patients for treatment with radiopharmaceutical therapies utilized in genitourinary malignancies.
- Understand how the use of external beam radiation, imaging and RPT dosimetry can be used to optimize the use of RPT for genitourinary malignancies.
