Previously, I also served as a member of the Breast Service from 2006 to 2018 and Director of the Breast Service. My expertise lies in the treatment of breast, pediatric and base-of-skull tumors and sarcaoma with a technology called proton therapy. I have worked with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital to provide proton therapy for their pediatric patients with consulation for some adults and promote collaboration and appropriate utilization of this costly therapy. Providing comprehensive care to patients and their families remains the most fulfilling aspect of my career. Leading with a shared leadership style and one that fosters communication, collegiatlity and well-being is of great importance. I am currently in a primary investigator or co-chair role of 2 large multi-institutional clinical trials. I am Primary Investigator of a Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Trial for Central Nervous System (CNS) Germ Cell Tumors that will opened in 2021 in COG sites in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and also for adults through several adult cooperative groups.
