Dr Patel is a Senior Clinical Oncology Registrar and Sarcoma Radiotherapy Research Fellow at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, UK. She has clinical experience across multiple tumour sites within Central and North London cancer centres, with a particular interest in innovative radiotherapy techniques, clinical trials and translating research into clinical practice.
Dr Patel graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry with a Distinction in Medical Sciences, and obtained a First-Class Honours degree in Physiology from King’s College London. She is dually qualified with MRCP(UK) and FRCR, and is currently undertaking an MSc focused on sarcoma radiotherapy.
As a Sarcoma Radiotherapy Research Fellow, Dr Patel works in collaboration with Dr Ahmed, Sarcoma Clinical Oncology Consultant at University College London Hospital, on evaluating moderately hypofractionated definitive radiotherapy in patients with inoperable sarcomas, and investigating its implementation within the UK National Health Service.
Dr Patel is actively involved in clinical research, service development and medical education, with a particular interest in advancing radiotherapy strategies and supporting the integration of evidence-based innovations into clinical practice.
