Stephen Adjei is a researcher at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. He is a candidate for a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering at Dartmouth. Stephen’s work involves developing medical software for low-compute medical imaging and radiomics, as well as technologies designed to enhance shared decision making through education and conversational analysis. At the Robins Lab at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Stephen developed FLAIRSEG 2.0, a low-compute, automated segmentation tool to segment multiple sclerosis lesions and brain tumors in T2-FLAIR images, and the breast cancer radiomics pipeline MRS. At the Barr Lab at OpenRecordings, Stephen developed the UI/UX and backend for iPath, a mobile app designed to connect patients to wellness treatment across the upper valley. Stephen has also developed deep learning classifiers for the audio transcription project AudioCare and has worked on UI/UX and backend development for the AI audio transcription app HealthPAL. Stephen hopes to pursue a medical career after graduate school and is interested in exploring the intersects between machine learning and medicine.
