Ting Martin Ma, MD, PhD
Dr. Ma is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in genitourinary and gynecological malignancies. He is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, University of Washington. He has extensive experience with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), proton therapy and high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
Dr. Ma has a long-standing interest in advanced imaging, including multiparametric MRI, prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography (PSMA PET/CT) and MRI-guided radiotherapy. He has been a principal investigator and co-investigator on multiple phase I/II and phase III clinical trials. He is a member of the Radiation Oncology and Genitourinary Cancer Committees at SWOG and ECOG-ACRIN. He also serves as an investigator of the international Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials in Cancer of the Prostate (MARCAP) consortium and has led multiple meta-analyses answering important clinical questions. He has first or co-first author publications in JAMA Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, European Urology, and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics, among others. He is also the recipients of many awards, including Conquer Cancer Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Early Career Oncologist Award from American Radium Society (ARS).
Dr. Ma earned an MD and PhD in neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After an internship in the Internal Medicine Preliminary program at the University of Washington, he continued residency training in Radiation Oncology at UCLA. He joined faculty at University of Washington in 2023.
