Dr. Uttam Pyakurel completed his PhD in Physics at the University at Albany, SUNY, where he developed novel x-ray imaging systems. He later worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, leading the first-in-human clinical trial of a 2D anti-scatter grid technology to improve CBCT image quality in radiation therapy, and in 2025 he joined the UCLA Medical Physics Residency Program.
