Vishhvaan Gopalakrishnan, MD, MSE
Dr. Vishhvaan Gopalakrishnan is a resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. He earned his M.D. with Research Qualifications from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and holds both M.S.E. and B.S.E. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. His career focuses on the intersection of medicine and engineering to solve clinical challenges. Previously, Dr. Gopalakrishnan was a Clinical and Software Engineer at MIM Software, where he developed AI algorithms for radiation therapy planning. He is also the co-founder of Serca Science LLC, designing hardware for a system to adjust human circadian rhythms. His research, including the development of an open-source evolutionary bioreactor, has been published in journals such as eLife and presented at national conferences. Among his honors, he received the American Society of Hematology's HONORS Award and a full-tuition scholarship for medical school.
