William Oh, MD
William K. Oh, MD is Director of Precision Medicine for Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital, as well as for the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich Hospital. He is also Professor of Internal Medicine in the Section of Medical Oncology and Hematology. As the Jean and David W. Wallace Medical Director at Smilow in Greenwich, William develops integrated oncology care teams to expand the impact of multidisciplinary cancer care for patients in the region. In addition, as Director of Precision Medicine at YCC, he focuses on building a cohesive program in precision medicine and is committed to increasing the routine use of molecular and genetic testing for all patients with cancer.
Dr. Oh is a GU oncologist with decades of experience caring for patients. Before his appointment at Yale, he served as Chief Medical Officer and EVP of the Prostate Cancer Foundation. For over a decade, he was Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Deputy Director of the NCI-designated Tisch Cancer Institute and the Ezra Greenspan, MD Professor of Clinical Cancer Therapeutics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He began his professional career at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, including roles as Clinical Director of the Lank Center for Genitourinary Oncology and Director of the Gelb Center for Translational Medicine. William serves as Chair of the American Cancer Society's National Prostate Cancer Roundtable and as Chair of the Medical Advisory Council for the Chemotherapy Foundation, a 55-year-old organization committed to discovering novel therapies for cancer.
