Yash Chitalia received the bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India, in 2011, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2021. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School from 2021-2022. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA. He is the director of the Healthcare Robotics and Telesurgery (HeaRT) laboratory at the University of Louisville. His research interests include microscale and mesoscale surgical robots for cervical cancer, prostate cancer, pediatric brain tumors and spinal cord injury.
