Yutaro Koide, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist at Aichi Cancer Center Hospital in Nagoya, Japan. He received his medical degree from Nagoya University and completed his residency and specialty training in radiation oncology in Japan. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology and Radiation Therapy. His clinical and research interests focus on palliative radiotherapy, re-irradiation, quality-of-life assessment, and decision-making support in radiation oncology.
His work includes prospective and multicenter studies evaluating symptom response, quality of life, and treatment personalization in patients receiving palliative radiotherapy. His recent research has focused on pain response after palliative re-irradiation and the development of clinically applicable prognostic and decision-support models in the modern systemic therapy era. Dr. Koide is also involved in national collaborative activities related to palliative radiotherapy guidelines and implementation research in Japan.
