Zachariya (Zach) is a third-year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As an undergraduate at Princeton University, he studied computational neuroscience and conducted fMRI research in higher-order visual processing. He subsequently completed a two-year research fellowship in computational liquid biopsy at Penn Medicine, using machine learning to decode peripheral cell-free DNA methylation profiles to better understand the role of the tumor microenvironment in the survival of patients with glioblastoma.

As part of the MSKCC community, he conducts research in the Luke Pike and Vanderbilt Pathology AI labs. He leads the development of novel computational pathology tools to improve prognostication and guide treatment selection in patients with brain metastases. He is excited to be part of the incredible community at ASTRO.
