Dr. Zhang is a physician scientist at Department of Radiation Oncology focusing on central nervous system tumors/diseases. He offers stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), intracranial brachytherapy and proton therapy for all brain tumors. His research interests are in identifying novel targets and drug delivery with nanoparticles to brain focusing on glioblastoma (GBM). He received his M.D. at Miller School of Medicine at University of Miami and completed residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center at New York. He later practiced as a Radiation Oncologist specializing in brain and lung cancer and directed laboratory research at Buffett Cancer Center at University of Nebraska Medical Center before joining Mayo Clinic Arizona.
