Dr. Denis Panizza is a board-certified medical physicist specializing in prostate cancer SBRT and brain SRS. His work focuses on the development, safe clinical implementation, and clinical outcomes of ultra-hypofractionated, high-precision radiotherapy.
During his residency, Dr. Panizza trained at the National Center for Oncological Hadrontherapy (CNAO) in Pavia, Italy, where he worked on physical and dosimetric beam characterization and treatment planning in proton and carbon-ion radiotherapy.
Since 2016, he has been working at the Fondazione IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori in Monza, Italy, where he is involved in external photon beam radiotherapy using state-of-the-art linear accelerator technology. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan Bicocca.
