Prof. Cem Onal is the founding physician of the Radiation Oncology Department at Baskent University Adana Dr. Turgut Noyan Research and Treatment Center, where he also serves as Chair and Professor. His primary areas of interest include prostate cancer, breast cancer, and gynecological malignancies. He has extensive experience in treating prostate cancer using intensity-modulated radiotherapy and image-guided radiotherapy (MR Linac), as well as brachytherapy for gynecological tumors. Additionally, he is skilled in stereotactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery for metastasis and primary tumor.He established the first 1.5 Tesla MR unit in Turkey and the surrounding region in 2020. As the director of the MR-Linac unit, Prof. Onal has considerable expertise in utilizing MR-Linac technology for the treatment of prostate cancer and abdominal tumors. Prof. Onal has authored over 250 publications in international and national journals and presented more than 400 abstracts at various scientific meetings. He serves as a peer reviewer for more than 150 journals and is an active lecturer on new radiotherapy techniques in both national and international course programs.
