Dr. Howell is a PGY-4 chief resident in radiation oncology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. Originally from Kentucky, he completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (A?A) and a transitional year internship at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. He has been very involved in clinical research during his residency, presenting at five meetings thus far. He was the recipient of an Early Career Oncologist Award from the American Radium Society in 2024 for his work on mental health outcomes in patients with Mycosis Fungoides and gave an oral presentation at the 2024 ASTRO meeting on rib fracture risk in patients being treated with adjuvant radiation therapy for breast cancer. He is passionate about medical education and working with medical students and has clinical interests in GYN, GU, and brachytherapy. He is thankful for the opportunity to present at this meeting.
