Laboratoire du traitement de l'image et du signal, université de Rennes
Rennes, France

Dr Jennifer Le Guévelou is currently a PhD student in University of Rennes, France.

Her primary interest is in head and neck and genito-urinary oncology.

In the past few years, she focused on optimization of treatment planning for prostate cancer radiotherapy, by developing several approaches such as urinary-organs-at risk sparing, and dose-escalation on the dominant intraprostatic lesion. She is the leader of the ORION phase III trial in France, and one of the co-PI of the prospective meta-analysis FLAMENCO.

She is also a researcher in head and neck oncology, focusing on both early detection strategies, reduction of toxicity following radiotherapy, and implementation of SBRT in specific disease settings. She received the GORTEC Young Researcher Prize in 2019, for her work in research with CORASSO (patient association for head and neck cancer). She worked in the past few years in the development of guidelines for the delineation of flaps, after head and neck surgery. This guideline is currently implemented within a prospective trial, aiming to spare flap tissues in order to decrease the risk of late toxicity.

Last but not least, her interest includes the management of cancer occurring during pregnancy, both with respect to head and neck and gynecological tumors.

She is currently an active member of the GORTEC and GETUG groups.
