Dr. Steiner is a nuclear medical physicist, assistant professor, Director for Nuclear Medicine Physics, and Director of the Imaging Medical Physics Residency Program within the Radiology Department at UChicago, where he also serves as faculty within the medical physics graduate program. He is board-certified by the ABR in both nuclear medical physics and diagnostic medical physics. Since completing a PhD in Medical Physics at Louisiana State University and a nuclear medical physics residency at Henry Ford Health, Dr. Steiner has worked to improve clinical practice in all areas of nuclear medicine including radiotheranostics at Maine Medical Center, the University of Minnesota Medical Center, and the University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Steiner has received the Henkin Award and Fellowship through SNMMI and the Kurt Rossmann Award for Excellence in Teaching at UChicago. His research focuses on improvements in nuclear medicine and theranostics, and education.
