Leith Rankine is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His areas of expertise include: radiation-induced lung injury and functional avoidance planning for thoracic radiation therapy; stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT); kV and MR image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT); and spatially fractionated RT. Leith is also the Associate Director of the Medical Physics Residency Program, and a volunteer with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) Therapeutic Medical Physics Qualifying Exam Committee. Outside of Rad Onc, Leith's hobbies include martial arts, strength training, hiking, archery, skeet, and traveling.
