Dr. Leslie Chang is currently chief resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine in 2019 and will be completing residency in radiation oncology n 2024.


Dr. Chang's research has focused on survivorship and outcomes in pediatric oncology as well as quality and equity in delivery of radiation oncology treatment. Her work has explored topics such as quality metrics in radiation oncology, neurocognitive impairment in children with brain tumors, and the role of consolidative radiation in oligometastatic sarcomas. She has received several awards for her research, including the NCI Geographic Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program (GMaP) Travel Award and the ASTRO 2023 Abstract Recognition Award.


In addition to her research, Dr. Chang is an active member of professional organization including the ASTRO Accreditation Program for Excellence subcommittee and the ACRO resident subcommittee. She has held leadership positions within these organizations and has contributed to the development of educational initiatives and resident programs.
