Dr. Zhu is a resident physician in Radiation Oncology at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Bronx, New York. She trains across multiple campuses, including the New York Proton Center, with clinical interests in gynecologic brachytherapy, CNS radiosurgery, and proton beam therapy. Her research focuses on the clinical outcomes and toxicity of advanced radiotherapy techniques. She is the first author of a Proton Collaborative Group prospective registry analysis of proton beam therapy for testicular seminoma. She has also studied stereotactic body radiation therapy for oligometastatic ovarian cancer and has led a pilot study of total reference air kerma and toxicity in template-guided interstitial HDR brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies. Her long-term goal is to integrate advanced radiotherapy with rigorous outcomes research to improve the therapeutic ratio for patients with gynecologic and other malignancies.
