Dr. Mitre is a Research Fellow in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where his work centers on neuro-oncology outcomes research and advanced radiation delivery. He earned his medical degree from Santa Casa de São Paulo School of Medical Sciences in Brazil, one of the country's most selective and historic medical institutions. Since joining UTSW, Dr. Mitre has led and contributed to multiple clinical investigations focused on intracranial tumors, including a multi-institutional study on Cesium-131 tumor bed brachytherapy for recurrent meningioma and outcomes analyses of MR-guided adaptive re-irradiation for recurrent glioblastoma using the Unity MR-Linac platform. In parallel, Dr. Mitre has contributed to systematic review and meta-analysis work on artificial intelligence applications in cranial and spinal oncology.
