Omar Awad, MD, MS
Dr. Omar Awad, MD MSc is a Radiation Oncologist, PhD candidate, and Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine. He also serves an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at Alexandria University, Egypt.
Dr Awad completed his residency training and earned a master’s degree in Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at Alexandria University. Following residency, he practiced as a Radiation Oncology specialist for four years before joining Baylor.
His research focuses on AI-driven applications in radiation oncology, particularly the integration of advanced imaging and imaging biomarkers. He is actively engaged in ongoing projects in prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, and adaptive radiotherapy.
