Dr. Philippe Spiess is a senior member in the department of Genitourinary Oncology, the assistant chief of surgical services, and the chief of Clinical Innovation for the Moffitt healthcare network. Dr. Spiess’ research interests include novel diagnostic and therapeutic mpdalities for rare genitourinary cancers along with kidney and bladder cancer. Dr. Spiess has published over 550 peer reviewed manuscripts and has edited 5 textbooks on urologic oncology. Dr. Spiess currently serves as the president of Global Society of Rare GU Tumors, the vice-chair of the NCCN panel on bladder and penile cancer in addition as serving on the NCCN board of directors as the Moffitt clinical representative and on the NCCN national steering committee, he is a member of the ASCO/EAU penile cancer panel, a member of the AUA Update Series Education Committee, and is on the SIU board of directors as the chair of education.
