I am a second-year medical student at Case Western Reserve University with an interest in radiation oncology. Prior to medical school, I worked at the New York Proton Center where I had the opportunity to work with head and neck cancer patients firsthand. Witnessing the side effect burden and symptom management challenges they face left a lasting impression on me. The complexity of treating this region, with its dense anatomy and the stakes involved in preserving function and quality of life, drives my interest in the field.
