session DESCRIPTION
Thoracic reirradiation is a challenging and increasingly common scenario for radiation oncologists. In this session, we will review reirradiation guidelines via case discussions taken from our practice. During this interactive session, attendees will review constraints for common organs at risk, dose discounting and best radiation techniques to utilize in various reirradiation scenarios.
learning objectives
- Formulate a systematic framework to approach re-irradiation cases and determine the best strategy.
- Assess the optimal cumulative dose constraints for common organs at risk taking into account fractionation and dose discounting.
