Shyam Nyati, PhD, is Associate Scientist and Director of Gene Therapy at Henry Ford Health and Associate Professor-Research at Michigan State University. His translational research program integrates radiation biology, DNA damage response, targeted radiosensitization, and oncolytic/gene therapy approaches for solid tumors. He has helped develop investigator-initiated gene therapy trials and has published extensively on BUB1 biology, radiosensitization, and cancer therapeutics. Dr. Nyati is also committed to mentoring and national service through scientific review panels and professional committees, including NIH, DoD/DoW-BCRP, and ASGCT activities.
