Takuya Nagano, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist at the Department of Radiology, Radiation Therapy Center, Kameda Medical Center, Japan. He also serves as a specially appointed assistant professor at the Institute of Integrated Research, Institute of Science Tokyo. His clinical and research interests include head and neck cancer, stereotactic body radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, and the development of patient-specific intraoral devices for radiation therapy. He is leading the development of SpaceORAL, a negative-pressure tongue immobilization spacer designed to improve tongue position stability and enable precise radiation therapy for tongue cancer.
