Dr. Zachary White is a physician-leader committed to advancing equitable healthcare through both clinical care and national policy. His journey into medicine began in childhood, when his mother survived breast cancer. That experience ignited his passion for oncology and improving care for those most in need.


A Birmingham, Alabama native, Dr. White graduated summa cum laude from Tuskegee University and earned his MD from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He is currently a Radiation Oncology Resident at Stanford University.


In 2024, Dr. White was appointed by the President of the United States as a White House Fellow, serving in the Office of the Secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs. There, he contributed to enterprise-wide efforts to improve care delivery and advance innovation within the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system, while serving as Special Advisor to the Deputy Secretary and supporting senior leadership through policy analysis.


Dr. White is also the Immediate Past Chair of the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), where he championed resident advocacy, expanded mentorship, and advanced equity across the field of radiation oncology. Beyond his clinical and policy work, Dr. White engages deeply with the community, leading health education initiatives through his church on topics such as prostate cancer to reduce disparities and promote awareness in underserved populations.


Dr. White is committed to a career at the intersection of medicine and policy, working to build a more just and inclusive healthcare system where high-quality, compassionate care is accessible to all.
