Zakaria El Kouzi, MD

Zakaria El Kouzi, MD completed his medical degree in 2023 and subsequently pursued a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease department, where he served as a sub-investigator in international clinical trials. In 2024, he joined the Genitourinary Radiation Oncology department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where his research focuses on understanding determinants of outcomes and treatment responses in prostate cancer. He applies advanced statistical approaches, including causal inference, and explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and clinical medicine. His work particularly examines how natural language processing and large language models can enhance clinical workflows, support decision-making, and improve patient care while prioritizing safety and reliability
