Katherine Tzou, MD

Dr. Tzou is an Associate Professor in Radiation Oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed residency training at Mayo Clinic Florida College of Medicine and Science in Jacksonville, FL where she also served on faculty from 2012-2022. She has been board certified in radiation oncology through the American Board of Radiology since 2013, and joined the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2023. Dr. Tzou has expertise in the treatment of gynecologic cancers including cervix cancer, uterine cancer, vulvar cancer, and vaginal cancer; genitourinary cancers including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer; brachytherapy; stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT); and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) of various cancer types. She has published over 50 peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters, and serves on national committees including the American Board of Radiology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. She currently serves an Associate Senior Editor for Advances in Radiation Oncology and is a peer reviewer for multiple journals such as International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics, International Journal of Gynecological Cancer, and International Journal of Particle Therapy.
