International 07 - Challenges of Developing a Radiation Oncology Program in a LMIC Country: The Tale of Four Centers

session DESCRIPTION
This session will describe the journey faced by four different organizations in developing a radiation oncology center in a low-to-middle income country: one in Georgia, one in Mexico, one in Tanzania, Africa, and one in Cameroon, Africa. It will compare and contrast the various challenges that were faced, three being private hospitals (Krystyna Kiel Oncology Center in Georgia, Mbingo Hospital in Cameroon and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Tanzania) and the other being a public hospital (Centro Estatal de Cancerologia Dr. Dorantes Mesa in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico).
