session DESCRIPTION

War and conflict profoundly disrupt cancer care, particularly radiotherapy services that depend on stable infrastructure, trained staff, and specialized technology. This storytelling session brings together professionals from Ukraine, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, and Sudan to share firsthand experiences of providing cancer care in crisis. Through powerful, personal narratives, speakers will explore how they adapted, endured, and innovated under siege. Participants will learn how local professionals and international partners worked together to support continuity of care and what global oncology can do to promote resilience and equity in similar settings worldwide.
