Step beyond the traditional boundaries of oncology and into the future of Functional Radiation Medicine. This high-impact workshop explores the transformative potential of low-dose radiotherapy for non-malignant conditions, spanning the treatment of degenerative and inflammatory diseases to emerging indications in the CNS and cardiac space. Attendees will gain invaluable knowledge in the science of low-dose efficacy, safety data, and multidisciplinary practice-building, providing the essential roadmap for any clinician looking to lead at the frontier of functional treatment and patient quality of life. This session is considered an event add-on and requires separate registration and an additional fee.
learning objectives
- Review the biologic mechanisms and clinical evidence supporting Functional Radiation Medicine applications.
- Discuss patient selection, contouring, planning, and delivery considerations for STAR and other functional radiotherapy indications.
- Analyze clinical cases involving neurologic, musculoskeletal, inflammatory, and cardiac disorders treated with radiotherapy.
